CHRISTOPHER J.
MAHONEY
Chris
concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate administration
and business planning.
Chris
counsels clients in all aspects of estate planning including the
establishment of wills, powers of attorney, living trusts, insurance
trusts, family limited partnerships and other planning vehicles.
Chris advises clients on federal and state estate and gift tax issues
and counsels families on elder planning issues.
Chris
is the head of the estate administration department assisting clients
on probate matters including, probate of estates, trust administration,
guardianships and representation of fiduciaries and beneficiaries
in disputes involving wills and trusts.
Chris
advises small business owners in connection with the establishment
and operation of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships
as well as the sale, acquisition and merger of small businesses.
He also assists clients with business succession planning.
Chris
was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1993; United States District
Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1994; and the United
States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1994.
Chris is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A., cum laude,
1989) and Suffolk University Law School (J. D., cum laude,
1993). He frequently lectures to professional groups, including
Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., on probate and estate
planning topics. Chris was selected as a Massachusetts Rising Star Super Lawyer in the May 2005 issue of Boston Magazine.
